Kindred’s partnering to shape the future of foundational supports for children and families
The recent NDIS Review recommended investing in Foundational Support, which would work alongside the NDIS and mainstream services to create a connected, comprehensive disability support system.
Kindred, in partnership with other leading not-for-profit and community organisations, collectively serving 182,000 families across NSW, has established the Child and Family Supports Alliance (CaFSA) NSW. This Alliance is a testament to our shared commitment to advocate for, design, and implement tailored foundational support systems for children with developmental differences and their families.
CaFSA released a position paper, Principles for Developing an NSW Foundational Supports System for Children with Developmental Differences, Delays, or Disabilities and their Families. This paper outlines key principles and sets forth our recommendations for the NSW government to ensure a supportive and effective framework for Foundational Supports that benefits children and their families across the state.
The Alliance is hosting the National Child and Family Foundational Supports Co-Design Forum in Canberra in August 2024.
