Maddy lives in a little beach town called Corindi Beach on the Mid North Coast. She loves birdwatching, gardening and going to the beach with her family. Maddy is the mother of two Autistic children and her youngest child is also medically complex. She is passionate about inclusion and achieving better outcomes for families of children with disabilities like her own. Maddy loves to connect with other families at all stages on their journeys.

Maddy comes from a diverse background in research and program management. Her past work and research experience has predominantly been within the environmental and social science fields. Maddy is excited to bring her background experience in policy analysis, program design, community engagement and qualitative research to her role here at Kindred.

Maddy is particularly excited to use her lived experience to help other parents advocate for their disabled children within the healthcare system. She is also eager to help families from rural and regional areas with the challenges of accessing services and care. Maddy loves learning from other families and recognises the value of drawing on and supporting the sharing of the vast wealth of knowledge within the community.
